Patricia Stinely, 93, of Washington, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, July 31, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Her passing marks the end of a long and meaningful life defined by devotion to family, faith, and community.
Born on May 23, 1933, in Pittsburgh, Patricia pursued a career in nursing after graduating from the Pittsburgh Hospital School of Nursing. It was during her time working as a registered nurse that she met her husband, Regis Stinely. The couple married on December 29, 1956, and shared 66 years of marriage until his passing in 2022.
Throughout their life together, Patricia and Regis built a strong and loving family, raising five children while experiencing life in different parts of the world during Regis’ naval deployments. Their journey took them to places including Oakland, California, and Guam before eventually settling in Washington, Pennsylvania, where Patricia became a cherished member of the community.

Her love for family extended into every part of her life. She created lasting memories through holiday traditions, handmade Halloween costumes, and festive Christmas decorations that reflected her attention to detail and love for celebration. Music often filled her home, with the sounds of artists like Johnny Mathis and Frank Sinatra accompanying many cherished moments.
A woman of deep faith, Patricia was a devoted member of Immaculate Conception Church, where her beliefs guided her actions and the way she cared for others. She also had a deep appreciation for nature, tending to flower beds each spring and sharing her home with beloved pets throughout the years.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Regis Stinely. She is survived by her sister, Marjorie Smith (Robert Smith); her children, Nancy Stinely (Robin Berman), Michael Stinely (Kathy Stinely), Susan Eles (Gustav Eles), Jennifer Stinely, and James Stinely; her grandchildren, Neal Eles, James Eles, Patrick Stinely, and Liam Stinely; and her great-grandchild, Wesley Eles.
